Is it possible for a puppy to be mixed with the breeds of Labrador Retreiver and Pomeranian?

Question by Joe H: Is it possible for a puppy to be mixed with the breeds of Labrador Retreiver and Pomeranian?
Several days ago my friend gave me a puppy, he told me that the mom which was his dog was a pomeranian and that he doesn’t know what the father is. The pup looks like a labrador but i’m not sure is it possible for the genes of a labrador and a Pomeranian are able to “match” and come out with offsprings. Does anyone have a picture or a dog with that mix? Where can I find an image of that mix? Thank you.

any breed of dog can mate and produce a litter, however, some are more practical, from a breeding standpoint, than others.

It is compeletly possible for a lab and a pomeranian to create offspring as both are breeds of dog. As long as the parents are both dogs they can breed and produce puppies. No idea what it will look like as you can never really be sure when you mix breeds together.

Yes, it is possible. However a Pom having a Labs puppies is extremely difficult to do and could be life threatening (if not fatal) to the female Pom simply because of the vast size difference between the two dogs.

It is absolutely possible for a large breed to pair with a small breed. One of my dogs is a beagle/ golden retriever mix. He looks like a miniature golden retriever- he only weighs about 30 pounds. Wondering how it happened certainly makes for an interesting mental image…

Yes, they’re both the same species, so they could produce offspring. Better hope it’s the Lab that the female, though.
